Exceptional leaders and change-makers can come from anywhere. Financial constraints should not prevent the next great African disruptor from gaining the tools, skillsets and networks to bring positive change and create impact.
The ALU Disability Scholarship is a long-term commitment to support exceptional young students with disabilities pursuing higher learning. Scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of applicants’ entrepreneurial drive, demonstrated impact, and financial need.
Applicants must have a documented disability and be able to provide proof of said disability. Disabilities are long-term or recurring impairments that impact one or more major activities that others may consider to be a daily function—this includes visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive, or speech impairments. This definition of disability is informed by the World Health Organization. Candidates with all disabilities are encouraged to apply.
We aim to empower resilient, driven, innovative, creative, mission-driven youth with disabilities to join us on our Rwanda and Mauritius campuses as part of the ALU Disability Scholarship.
