The Call to save lives as Medical Doctor is such a noble one that it takes great sacrifices to make it.You see them walking helter skelter through the corridors of hosipitals clad in their white coats but with one mission in mind, "to save a life". It is this call that Dr Ssemuwemba Mark heard clearly and has been his source of motivation day in day out. In the bid to illuminate your path to Medical School, we have him here sharing with you what it takes to be a Medical Doctor. Here is what we asked in.
Am a principled strict person who jokes alot but means business if it's time to work
Wake up early, catch the morning news I missed.Head to the hospital do my duty then head out for any other business after work
My parents and my good grades chose for me. But after starting to interact with patients during my undergraduate studies I started love my profession
Assessing the patients, knowing who need to be attended to first and then acting appropriately
Delayed payment by the government and lack of equipment and investigations to help us in diagnosis
Good communication skills and putting to what you read into practice
Saving lives
No time for family or friends at times
I just applied
Biology,Chemistry,Mathematics and Food and Nutrition they helped me get admitted into medical school
I have Bachelors Degree in Medicine and Surgery
Basically the friends I made through my primary, high school and university
Going for further studies to specialize and then starting up private Health facilities
Patience and Dedication
My Parents especially my mum and a friend of hers called Besigye Patrick
Being the best Doctor in which ever specialty I choose
Listening to my parents ,They guided me to where I am today
I read hard always thought to myself..read hard such that if you fail to make it you have no regrets like.. I wish I had worked harder I wish I had read more so I always pushed myself to the limits
Read hard and be ready to sacrifice alot of your time
I watch soccer and basketball and hanging out with friends
Prior working in a Health facility
Work hard and Pray hard
