The Relevance (Why the course is being taught)

The programme is designed to equip students with skills in the discipline of childhood care and development. It is also intended to enlarge children’s lobby group required to generate momentum for what is otherwise a neglected sector. (Source: Nkumba University Prospectus 2015/16-2021/22)

Course Entry Requirements

  • Direct Entry; the student should have a minimum of two (2) principle passes in all A ‘level subjects obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent in relevant subjects.
  • Diploma entry scheme; the student should hold a relevant diploma.
  • Mature age entry scheme; the student should have a pass in the mature age entry examinations with at least 50% and must be 25 years and above with a certificate or diploma in any course.
