The Relevance (Why the course is being taught)

A Diploma in Petroleum Engineering gives one a stepping stone into the rapidly changing energy exploration in Uganda. This prepares graduates to work in the oil and gas sector with the adquate knowledge, skills and understanding of issues necessary in the oil and gas marketing with a better understanding of local and international issues in the sector.

Course Entry Requirements

Direct Entry: Candidates shall qualify for admission having passed Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or its equivalent with a minimum of 1 principal pass and 2 subsidiary passes from relevant subjects obtained at the same sitting.

Certificate Entry Scheme: Candidates shall qualify for admission having obtained a Uganda Certificate of Education or its equivalent and at least a two year credit National Certificate in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

Mature Age Entry Certificate: Candidates must have sat and passed Mature Age Entry examination in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution within the previous two years.
