The Relevance (Why the course is being taught)

This program for individuals who wish to gain managerial competences essential abilities to work in a health related environment.

The program provides a thorough grounding in core management areas e.g. administrative functions, organizational behavior, human resource management, strategic management, entrepreneurship, accounting and employment law plus other related subjects.

The program also introduces the student to health-related areas that have previously proved a challenge to non-medical professionals working in a health-related environment. Such areas include the language of medicine, an introduction to Uganda and international healthcare service delivery systems, public health etc.

The ingredients above combine to produce a special hybrid graduate who can ably fit in any administrative or management position in organization, business, government department, NGO involved either in a health care service or even a purely business.
