1. For direct entry into the course these must be considered a age limit of 18 years and above. Credits in English, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and three credits or passes in any other subjects are necessary. Those scores should have attained not longer than three years. Senior four and six leavers with credits in sciences at senior four.

2. Moreover the applicant must satisfy the interview panel. The intake is once a year in August. There are 25 places fpr 10 female and 15 male per intake available (50 in total). The duration of the course is two years in four semesters.

3. The Award Certificate is a Registration License to practice as Laboratory Assistant is given by Uganda Allied Health Professions Board (UAHEB). N.B. Candidates who completed senior four more than three years ago especially those who are working have a chance to be trained as laboratory assistants
