The Relevance (Why the course is being taught)

The programme has been developed to equip students with appropriate skills, knowledge and understanding of development issues, programmes, challenges and opportunities related to communities. Second year students are encouraged to undertake a practical project (internship) in a chosen community or organization to enable them to learn the practice of development work and research. Course Entry Requirements

  • Direct Entry; the student should have a minimum of two (2) principle passes in all A ‘level subjects obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent in relevant subjects.
  • Diploma entry scheme; the student should hold a relevant diploma.
  • Mature age entry scheme; the student should have a pass in the mature age entry examinations with at least 50% and must be 25 years and above with a certificate or diploma in any course.
