Sunmaker Oil and Gas Training Institution and Uganda Petroleum Insitute Kigumna have been contracted by CNOOC Uganda Limited to offer free training to interested and eligible individuals for 3G and 6G coded welding leading to AWS Certification. 

Eligibility for 3G Welding

1. Applicants must be above 18 years of age.
2. Basic reading and writing skills
3. The applicants should have at least O'Level certificates with good grades in English and Mathematics
4. Experience is not Mandatory for 3G Welding.
5. Good Mathematical Skills (Advance Numeracy and Physics (Basic Knowledge of Electricity)
6. Good eyesight with no eye defects
7. Applicants should be mentally and physically fit
8. Successful applicants should be ready to stay at the Institute until they complete the training 
9. Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply

Eligibility for 6G Welding

1. Applicants must be above 18 years of age.
2. Basic reading and writing skills
3. The applicants should have at least O'Level certificates with good grades in English and Mathematics
4. Applicants must have previously trained in 1G, 2G AND 3G coded welding and have proof of their training/certification
5. Basic knowledge of welding
6. Good eyesight with no eye defects
7. Applicants should be mentally and physically fit
8. Successful applicants should be ready to stay at the Institute until they complete the training 
9. Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply

Application Procedure

Interested candidates can pick application forms from the designated offices or locations below; Hoima, Kikuube, Nwoya, Masindi, Buliisa, Kibaale, Mubende, Gomba, Sembabule, Lwengo, Rakai and Kyotera

Application forms can be collected from the District Community Development Officer's office in the above-mentioned districts, the in Hoima also at Petroleum Authority of Uganda, Hoima Regional Office

Fully Completed application forms with supporting documents attached, sealed in an envelope should be returned to the designated office or to the above location where they picked up the application forms on or before the deadline, which is 20th January 2023 at 5 PM

3. After this initial assessment successful applicants will be selected and enrolled
