The goal of the course is to teach the public, how to read, write, interpret, manipulate data, as well as make inferences based on data analysis. By the end of the course, students will be able to
1. Create datasets,
2. Access existing datasets
3. Create variables
4. Clean data,
5. Merge data sets,
6. Create samples from larger data sets,
7. Label data and variables,
8. Create and debug code.
Students will be exposed to the basics of two statistical packages (Stata and R). This introductory course is intended for students who have no or minimal experience using statistical software.
This online course includes five modules. Submissions of assignments are required to obtain the course certificate. Assignments will be graded on completion only and not correctness. It is your responsibility to watch the lesson videos each week and complete all assignments before the listed due date. See the assignment schedule below for details.
The Course is strictly online and weekly on Saturday and Sunday (6:30-8:30 PM EAT)
