The Relevance (Why the course is being taught)

The programme is designed to expose students to both theoretical and practical experiences in relation to disability. The programme produces people with requisite knowledge, attitudes and skills in disability to play diverse roles, advocacy sensitization, education and training; policy advisors; policy formulation and implementation; development agent; service providers; civic and religious leaders etc. (Source: Nkumba University Prospectus 2015/16-2021/22)

Course Entry Requirements

  • Direct Entry; the student should have a minimum of two (2) principle passes in all A ‘level subjects obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent in relevant subjects.
  • Diploma entry scheme; the student should hold a relevant diploma.
  • Mature age entry scheme; the student should have a pass in the mature age entry examinations with at least 50% and must be 25 years and above with a certificate or diploma in any course.
