The Relevance (Why the course is being taught)

Records and Archives play a critical role in assisting management to make decisions. The programme in records and archives management was set up to meet the lack of professional records managers and archivists in the country. The programme aims at producing graduates that can set up and manage the entire records management programme of an organization in a professional way.

 Benefit of the program

 Personnel trained in matters of records management are able to do the following

Creation of files

  • Classification of records and management of active records.
  • Records appraisal retention and scheduling.
  • Ensures proper Records preservation and archiving.
  • Ensure that records are managed professionally so that any statutory or financial obligations are met.

Target Group

This diploma program is designed to cater for all those who meet the admission requirements and include: 

Minimum Entry Requirement

UACE with at least one principal pass in Economics or Math with 2 subsidiary passes & 5 passes at O’ Level

                                                        OR

UCE / O’level with at least three credits and a certificate from a recognised institution

Tuition : Ug Shs. 500,000
