The Relevance (Why the course is being taught)

Midwifery includes the care of a woman and her child duirng all stages of pregnancy, labour, delivery, postpartum, peuperium and the first five years of the child's life. Midwives also detect and manage abnormal conditions, get additional medical assistance where necessary and execute emergency measures. They participate in teaching students, patients, caretakers and the community.
