The Relevance (Why the course is being taught)

Medical records' officers handle the fundamentals of records for medical and health systems and code medical diseases and conditions. They manage Health information systems.

Course Entry Requirements

Direct Entrants

UACE or its equivalent having at least 1 principal pass in Mathematics, Physics and Biology or Physical Sciences.

In addition one should possess 5 credit passes in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English in "O" level subjects or ICT subjects.

Indirect Entrants

Candidate must have UCE or its equivalent having 5 passes English, Mathematics/ICT, and Biology.

In adddition one should possess Certificate in Health Information Management System (HMIS) or CISCO Certified network Associate (CCNH) or other health related certificate from institutions of learning recognised by the Ministry of Health.
