This program relies on the Faculty's role in fostering sustainable development through the responsible use of natural resources and the environment. It builds on the experiences obtained through implementing the existing Undergraduate Program, which addresses the fundamentals of Natural Resource Economics in depth.
The program's uniqueness reinforces Busitema University and the Faculty of Natural Resources and environment's position as an innovator in fishery and water resource management. In response to inadequate resources to support the fisheries subsector, the program is building capacity in the sub-discipline of Fisheries and the Management of water resources
Entry Requirements
UACE & UCE:
UACE in two of the subjects: Economics, Biology, Mathematics, Agriculture, Chemistry, Physics and Geography. UCE with at least six credits of which two credits must be in English and Mathematics.
Diploma entry requirements:
Candidates must have passed Mathematics and English with at least a credit in the Uganda Certificate of Education or its equivalent and obtained a diploma (at credit/distinction level) in the relevant natural or physical sciences from a recognized institution.
Mature Age requirement:
Candidates seeking admission through this scheme must be at least 25 years old and must apply to sit for the mature age examination.
