This course provides knowledge on agents of animal diseases and how animals respond to them, advanced knowledge in animal nutrition, breeding and management to optimise animal health and production, farming systems approach to animal production and an understanding of how to appraise and monitor livestock production systems through development and execution.

Where Graduates Work

Graduates of this programme will be prepared for employment in the animal health and veterinary public health sector (including the Ministry of Agriculture ), the meat, milk and fish processing industries, private veterinary clinics,veterinary diagnostic laboratories, and in the extension services.
