The youth empowered leadership and entrepreneurship training is an 8 weeks online soft skills training and mentorship programme that seeks to empower the youth with core 21st century skills needed to thrive in life and in the world of work. It will be conducted by Shine Leadership International in collaboration with different educators, the Student Hub, African Centre for Career Mentorship, Ignite Potential, Bwongo Consult, Tutelage Consult, Snacks 4 U, and Little Winnie Foundation. This program is geared towards helping the youth innovate and create their own businesses and to equip them with core employability skills needed be employers. Through this program, the youth are exposed to various global opportunities that they can exploit in order to advance in their careers.

General Objectives

1. To help the youth discover and leverage their entrepreneurial and leadership potential.
2. To equip the youth with entrepreneurial tools that they can use to start and manage their businesses efficiently and effectively
3. To equip the youth with work readiness and employability skills that prepare them to excel at the work place
4. To arm the youth with financial literacy skills that will help them grow financially
5. To guide the youth on how to seize available global career advancement opportunities

Programme Schedule

The programme will be conducted online in the early morning hours of the day from 5:00am EAT to 7:00am for 8 Weeks.
There will be three interactive training sessions during the week and one follow up/mentorship session with the participants. It will start on the 3rd of July and end on the 23rd of August 2023. The in person graduation ceremony will take place on the 2nd of September 2023.
