Meet Anorld Mulindwa

Auditor at Kisaka and Company certified Public accountants

Auditors are individuals that render an opinion on whether a company’s financial statements are presented fairly, in all material respects, in accordance with financial reporting framework. The audit provides users such as lenders and investors with an enhanced degree of confidence in the financial statements.

To understand more about what takes place in the life of an Auditor and give you a sneak peek into this career, We caught up with Mulindwa Arnold,an auditor at kisaka and company certified public accountants and this is what we asked

Briefly tell us about your self ? 

I am a dedicated , committed, hard working , ambitious auditor that really loves his work
 

What is a typical day like for you ?

I wake up at 5 am, prepare and go to work. When i reach work i get an assignment from my supervisor which i embark on for that day


So why auditing?

I loved accounting and research in the areas of auditing and finance
 

What are your main tasks and responsibilities at work? 

To carry out audit assignments as assigned by my supervisor day to day
 

What's cool about your job ?

You explore all the various industries and sectors that contribute to Uganda's GDP (Gross Domestic Product)
 

Any challenges ?

Doing more work as others do less and tough administrators
 

How did you get your current job ?

I got it through an internship
 

What subjects did you take in school and how have they influenced your career path ?

I did Economics and Entrepreneurship, they help me to advise clients on the various ways they can manage their day to day work
 

What is your Education to date?

I have CPA LEVEL ONE and Bachelors Degree of Science in Accounting and Finance

 

What aspects of your education journey have proven most important for your job?

I learnt to advise clients in areas where they encounter challenges
 

What trends are you seeing in your career field ?

Auditing becoming computerized and simpler
 

What are the most important personal characteristics required for the job?

Integrity, Reliability, Responsiveness
 

Which key people influenced your career direction ?

My Deputy Head teacher Mr lubega Richard, my uncles Micheal and Peter
 

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to become a Finance manager


What have been the most rewarding events in your career so far?

Being the earliest auditor at my work place
 

As a student, how did you cope up with the pressure to succeed / excel in class?

Through discussions and personal revision
 

What advise would you give someone considering this job?

He or she should be determined , focused and committed and also leaning to GOD for knowledge


What kind of work experience would provide a good background for this position?

Having worked with the best local audit firm in this country
