Once upon a time in Uganda I embarked on a journey that was less obvious and less predictable to many regarding success (depending on your definition of success), a journey that defined peace, liberation, freedom and purpose to me.''I literally started living after that choice''!!.
That doesn't mean that all got rosey all of a sudden,..it actually got messy, but my spirit grew stronger because I was determined to never look back regardless of the threats...I CHOSE TO DANCE MY WAY UP., and up I went, with one goal in mind..''To help people see and achieve the worth of their abilities''...Which actually meant that people would want to first see my abilities work for me first in order to believe my ''CRAP'', and that's my life's purpose which i still and will always stand by it
By the fact that there's immense worth in every ability God gave to mankind, you just have to put it to a test to really see its worth to you''. The picture below was taken during the Swedish National Championships,of which we were competing in B-CLASS, as A-CLASS being the highest.
Much as they were just Nationals, in my heart I was representing:
1. The multitudes of Ugandans in pursuit of dreams that seem unachievable.
2. Those that see themselves as useless to their families, communities and nations just because they never got a chance to go through school or the chance to pursue ''fancy careers''...that within them lies something of great value that an Institution can never offer.
3. The dancers that believe that they can play a major role in their Country's Economy and Image(which is a very huge possibility).
For the same reasons very soon we'll see multitudes of Ugandan dancers share the same platform as I'am and also start representing the Country on much bigger International platforms.
To sum it up., for all the things one wishes to see or achieve, one works and prepares for, no gimmicks.
