For National Diploma in Business Management

Why Apply

Preparing learners for the realities of earning a living is a responsibility shared by many different groups of people both inside and outside the education sector. It is vital to ensure that trainees gain the best possible academic skills in order to provide them with a realistic chance of succeeding in today's highly competitive job market. The quality of training provided should be judged above all by its potential impact on practice.

New approaches to effective training and strategies in their implementation have been developed. It is hoped that these will improve the quality of the training and learning process so as to help learners develop competences to effectively and competently carry out various industrial operations. This will be achieved through careful implementation of the syllabus following the guidance provided therein.

The National Diploma in Business Management(NDBM) has been updated to suit the current labour market demands, aimed at producing graduates who are relevant to the business industry and the world of work. It is intended to enhance learner-centred methods of training referred hereto as teaching/learning strategies. It emphasises imparting skills through practical teaching, project work, industrial visits and internship training.

Each semester involves execution of a real-life project run in phases throughout the programme intended to make learners competent in trade. Heads of institutions and teachers are therefore urged to encourage learners to setup projects that will enable them to build capacity and demonstrate skills which are of prime importance to their careers in life after school.

They should also ensure that assessments are valid, reliable and authenticated with a high degree of confidence.
